Does plot job editor actually support PRN ?

Tried to put a PRN file into the Plot Job editor, but it will always crash if one try to print the job.

Only tried printing to PDF and TIFF - but I presume the same would happen with a normal printer.

Also is there anyway to input PDF files in the job editor?

PRN files are data files compatible with a particular printer.  That data is sent to the printer with no interpretation, so sending a prn to a pdf or tiff will not work.  Pdf files can be added to a plot job with Warrior 8, which will be released soon.
