Warrior Software General Support / Re: HEADING DATA
Last post by kmilch - May 13, 2019, 08:18:50 AM
Have a look at the stdopen.hdg file in notepad, search for {CONAME}.  There are two areas in the heading that refer to the 'Company'.  The sideways text fills in as soon as you enter the Company on main screen, or you could click on the sideways version and enter the company name there and it will refill on the main screen.  So all you need to do is have the same key word in brackets for every duplicate area and as you fill in one, the other will be filled in automatically.

It would be easy for me to send you the file and you do it. But I prefer  an explanation so I can learn how to do it. Please copy some of the code where it does that, and do a brief explanation and i will try it here.

Yes. Some of the standard heading formats do that already, but the amount of space isn't necessarily equal so what fits in one may be too long for the other.

If you're familiar with Windows Notepad, you can edit heading formats yourself. If you prefer, send your format to us and we can make the change for you.

Warrior Software General Support / HEADING DATA
Last post by mmartino - May 11, 2019, 09:32:03 AM
Hello, Im wondering if there is a way to replicate data entered into the heading into another panel of the same heading. We have the same data (well name, company name, field, etc. ) that is vertical and horizontal in a different panels of the same heading. Since I input that data in one panel I would like the system to copy that data automatically in the the other panel. Is there any way to do that???
Regards, Matias.

Dear SDS Team,

We would like to request you the inclusion of some files in the .db file and we hope it would be possible. The problems that we are facing are that sometimes depending on the customer we use different .prs, .hdg, image files, .pdf and other extra files provided in the field and used for the final report, the field copy. After the job sometimes is necessary to generate again the final report and this is done usually in other computer different that the one used in the field. The problems appear when the "Plot Job Editor" tries to access to those new or modified files that were generated and are stored in the computer used in the field. Because those files are not in the new computer, the report is not possible to be generated properly.
The compact .db file generated in each job is really useful because it contains all the log data, however, it lacks of functionality in terms of holding format or presentation information.
The format files and extra files used in the Plot Job Editor to generate the report are in general light, with less than 100 KB of size each one of the required files. Therefore, we would like to know if it is possible for you to make the necessary changes in the algorithm which could allow that by saving the file generated by Plot Job Editor in the database, it could also store in the database all the other required files needed to generate the reports without the need of accessing and copying files from other terminal.

We will be waiting for any comments to this request.

Kind Regards

Instructions were for Warrior 8.  In Warrior 7 there is a file called LAS.ini that you would edit to get the specific heading fields.  Instructions are in the file.
